The Nashoba Valley Regional Dispatch District (NVRDD) which provides public safety communications and serves as the E911 PSAP for the Towns of Berlin, Bolton, Devens, Harvard, Lancaster, Lunenburg, and Townsend Massachusetts seeks to fill the position of Executive Director. The NVRDD serves a population of approximately 46,500 residents located near the Route 2 Corridor of Central Massachusetts.

The Executive Director will report to a 7-member Administration Board. The NVRDD answers 85,000 911 calls annually and dispatches 74,000 Police incidents, 7,000 fire incidents and 4,000 EMS incidents annually. The NVRDD is a recognized public safety telecommunications leader and has an annual operating budget of $2.3 million.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to lead a team of 15 telecommunications professionals. Applicants must have or obtain 911 and CPR certification and have a minimum of eight years of public safety telecommunications experience, four of which are in a responsible supervisory position. A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Emergency Management or a related field, CJIS and APCO certification are required.

Applicants must possess strong labor/management, leadership, fiscal management, policy development and communication skills (bilingual preferred). Excellent benefit package, salary is negotiable depending upon experience, qualifications and education. Salary range will be negotiated depending upon qualifications. Salary range $100,000 to $125,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
